“Start with WHY” - Simon Sinek
Inspired by Simon Sinek, every time I take on a new project, I ask myself why? Why this product? What problem am I solving for the consumer?
Is there a similar product in the market? What is the consumer need or current pain points? Define your key performance indicators (KPIs) and your return on investment (ROI).
Know your product vision and define your scope (MVP anyone?) Develop your wires. Talk to your creatives, developers, marketers...then talk to them some more.
Create a prototype, finalize your UX/design and develop your go-to-market strategy. Then, test your ass off.
Roll up your sleeves time! Know the level of effort (LOE). Plan your sprints, own the backlog, make sure QA is there and identify the risk - does the timeline make sense?
Make sure you marketing strategy is in full swing. Are you going right into production or is beta an option? Monitor your assumptions and get ready for liftoff!
What are the reviews saying? Does the production data support your predictions and your KPIs? What are the most popular features?
Bugs? What bugs? - prioritize your fixes. Maintain and grow. Think ahead and plan for what’s next!
